Our Mountain Series is getting its next installment and you're the first to see it! This first ever all enclosed, computer operated roller coaster was inspired by Walt's love of the "space race" and meant to simulate an astronaut's return voyage to Earth. Walt came up with the idea in the early 60's but never got to see it brought to life because it took technology years to catch up to his forward thinking mind. It was the second of the Disney "mountain attractions" and now the third in our mountain series... Space Mountain! Our new design will be dropping May 30th, just three days after its 41st Disneyland birthday.
